A Bold New J.Crew
The preppy kid’s heaven J.Crew can no longer be underestimated, the Spring 2013 collection featured feather-weight Italian cashmere sweaters accessoried with a few tricks up the sleeve. While browsing the June issue of J.Crew’s Style Guide mag something instantly seemed different. The usual far away landscapes and grassy meadows were replaced by an African Safari Scene, form fitting preppy silhouettes were traded for boyfriend shirts and classic fit dresses. J.Crew did warn us there would be some changes releasing the collaborative new jewelry collection with Auden earlier this year. Who knew it could be this good, embroidered tops and tribal prints oh my. The shattered nail polish trend was popular for offering a more edgy effect now that same trend has trickled down from your hands to your clothes. Bradley Cooper: Where Is The Style?
He made us laugh in the Hangover, cry in Silver Linings Playbook and go wild in Limitless, Bradley Cooper is at the top of his game and has no worries. That sweet smile is sure to steal girl’s hearts but the lack of fashion sense not so much. When seen in movies Coop can be dressed in a relaxed layered look including a twill jacket, crewneck tee and faded denim which is ok until it comes press time an there he is in that blue suit, yet again. We can only judge from his well groomed hair it isn’t the same suit but who knows. Bradley Cooper could pull off any look and make it work which is why it’s so odd he would keep popping up with all grey everywhere. The casual off camera days are a blended mesh of gray suits, grey pants, grey jackets and maybe a white shirt, grey and blue can’t be the only options here. It’s cool Coop help is on the way!
Suggestions: I’m thinking the Hamptons mixed with a little downtown Manhattan might brighten up his closet a bit. The easy to use pastels will still bring out his gray eyes and serve as a great starting point for anyone afraid of color. A good suit on Coop is enough to make Ryan Gosling look twice, so some silk vest action with a tailored pant will look stunning for formal events. These two looks coming together can still fit into his age bracket flawlessly. Yahoo Brought Tumblr For Estimated $1.1 Billion
Remember the email and search engine site Yahoo? a bit of a blast from the past I know but maybe not, Yahoo hasn’t seem to lose any steam over the years. Tumblr a picture sharing site worth $1.1 billion, is predominantly used by people 20 years old or younger as Yahoo attracts much more social media illiterate users over 30. Well it’s time for the gender gap of online sharing to disappear because Yahoo has officially finalized the decision to purchase Tumblr on Sunday. These two internet powerhouses have just combined forces and the result can only be good.
